   2015-2016 CBA JD Hockey Schedule Released

           At 3:00 PM today the CBA/JD Hockey Schedule was posted, allowing fans access to the schedule for the first time this season. The Brothers will play a total of 23 games this season (3 preseason, 20 regular season). The schedule is divided out with the Brothers playing 10 home games at the Onondaga Nations Arena in Nedrow NY (Exit 16 off of 81 South). The Brothers have a total of 10 games away from the Onondaga Nations Arena. 8 are true road games while 2 are neutral site at Cicero North Syracuse (January 8th-9th). CBA/JD opens the season at home December 1st against Fulton at 7:00 PM. The team will play one game with an oppenent outside of Section III (December 5th Home vs Scarsdale). The three key games of the season include a scrimmage November 25th vs the Division 1 State Runner-ups Baldwinsville Bees (Greater Baldwinsville Ice Arena), and a home and home with the Skaneateles Lakers who are the defending State Champs of Division 2 hockey. The Brothers will visit Skaneateles first on December 11th at the Skaneateles YMCA rink, and will play again on the Nation Febuary 2nd. 

Baldwinsville CBA/JD Scrimmage Preview

Baldwinsville, NY

         

              Last season the CBA JD and Baldwinsville Ice hockey teams saw their season's come to a close in the Utica Aud in the State Final Four. CBA/JD finished the season ranked 4th in D2 and Baldwinsville was state runner-ups for D1. Tonights matchup will be a very good test before heading into reagular season competition. The Brothers are 1-1 in the pre-season with a 4-1 loss to West Genny and a 3-2 win yesterday of Cicero North-Syracuse. It is important to note, Baldwinsville and CBA both lost a significant chunk of senior leadership last season. Baldwinsville Takes Care Of Business Wins 5-0.

        Tuesday night in Baldwinsville, NY saw the CBA/JD Brothers struggle in the 2nd of 2 halfs in their scrimmage against Baldwinsville. Josh Perez had two goals for the Bees and Isaiah Pompo had a tally in the 1st half. The Brothers finish out the pre-season with a mark of 1-2. The Brothers return to the Nation Arena to open the regular season on Friday December 1st against the Fulton Red Raiders.

Game 1Recap:

Fulton 5 @ CBA/JD 1 Final

        Tuesday night at the Onondaga Nations Arena, saw the Brothers jump out to a quick 1-0 lead against Fulton thanks to Ben McCreary on an unassisted goal in the 1st frame. The game took a swing as a Fulton tallied a PP goal to tie it in the second and then took a 3-1 lead into the 3rd. Fulton would add two more goals in the 3rd to take the game 5-1. The Brothers are on the road Friday night in Clinton and back home Saturday at noon to take on Scarsdale. 

 

 

Game 2 Preview:

CBA/JD @ Clinton 7PM

        After a rough start to the season Tuesday night, the Brothers look to rebound on the road Friday night at the Clinton Arena aganist the Warriors. Clinton has started the season 1-1 with a loss to New Hartford and a 6-3 win over Whitesboro. This will be the first road game of the season for the Brothers followed with a quick turnaround Saturday at home verus Scarsdale.

 

 

Players to Watch:

 

Clinton: Eddie Allen (#18) leads the Warriors in points with 3 in two games played, talling a goal and assist in a win over whitesboro and a lone assist agaisnt New Hartford.

 

CBA JD: Ben McCreary leads the team in points with 1 after having an unassisted goal Tuesday night against the Fulton Red Raiders.

Game 3 Recap:

Scarsdale 2 CBA JD 3 Final

   The Brothers got off to a strong start Saturday afternoon taking a 2-0 lead early in the first peroid. Adam Fontana gave the Brothers a 1-0 lead followed by Ryan McGuire scoring with 1:28 to go in the peroid, taking a 2-0 lead to the locker room. Mid-way through the 2nd frame the Raiders scored two quick goals from Stephen Nicholas and Spencer Schell to tie the game making it 2-2 after two frames. Tanner Coleman struck just a 1:30 into the 3rd peroid, giving CBA a 3-2 lead. The Brothers held on late to take the game 3-2 and maintain a 25-15 shot advantage throughout the game. Senior Captain Ryan McGuire had 3 points (1 G 2A) followed by a 2 point performance from Sophmore Tanner Coleman. Scarsdale drops to 1-2 while the Brothers grab thier first win of the season. 

 

The Brothers are back in action December 11th at Skaneateles's Allen Arena (YMCA).

 

 

 

Game 4 Preview: CBA (1-2-0) @ Skaneateles (3-0-0)By: CBA JD HockeyDecember 10th  11:30 AMNedrow, NY   We all remember it, Last season the Brothers and Lakers clashed four times in the season including CBA's Senior Night, Section 3 Championship Game and the State Semi-Finals.  At the time a depleted CBA team lost to Skaneateles on Senior Night in overtime. The Brothers rebounded with a full team to beat Skaneateles 4-0 in the Sectional title, to only see each other yet again in the State Semis. Skaneateles would go on to win the game 4-3 and Win it's first State Championship since the late 1980's. Skaneateles has started strong yet again this season beating Greece 6-1 and the last season's D1 State Champion McQuaid 5-2. The Brothers are coming off it's first win of the season over Section 1's Scarsdale Red Raiders.Players to Watch:Skan: Raymond Falso (3GP 4G 4A 8PTS)Junior Raymond Falso is currently the lakers leader in Goals Assists and Points this season. As a sophmore he tallied 25 points in 12 games played.CBA JD: Ryan McGuire (3GP 2G 3A 5PTS)Senior Captain Ryan McGuire is coming off a 5 point weekend against Clinton and Scarsdale. Talling a goal and a assist against Clinton in a 8-4 loss and a goal and 2 assists in a 3-2 win over Scarsdale.
