Ryan McGuire Naval Nomination

It's a long and gruelling process to apply to the United States Naval Academy, espically while balancing sports, academics and normal high school life. Senior Captain for the Brothers Ryan McGuire (CBA) was recently told that he was to be nominated by US Congressman John Katko to apply to the Naval Academy. "It's the biggest step in the process" Said Mcguire. "Applying without a nomination and actually getting into the academy is near impossible. Mcguire who currently has 14 points (7G 7A) in 7 games played had a interview with 10 officers from the Academy at nearby Lemoyne College. "The interview lasted 10-15 minutes maybe and then from there they report to Mr. Katko." Only 9 people from the particular district Katko runs are nominated by Congressman Katko. "It's a tremendous honor and i look forward to the rest of the process." Said McGuire yesterday after a 4-3 loss to Syracuse.  CBA JD Hockey congratulates Ryan for the nomination to the Naval Academy.
