Without Tanner Coleman and Adam Carpenter on the back end all weekend long,The Brothers came into the weekend riding a 2 game win streak and looked to build on it with two Section 3 D1 opponents this weekend in C-NS and #1 Syracuse. Friday night the Brothers started off slow, but Jamie St. Amour threw a puck from the sidewall to the netmouth and the Brothers found a 1-0 lead. Later shorthanded Ben McCreeary found a seam through the C-NS defense for a clean breakaway and goal giving the Brothers a 2-0 lead. C-NS was able to find a scramble in front of Peyton Bowler and cut the lead in half but was not able to generate the tying goal giving the Brothers a 2-1 victory Friday night.

Saturday morning presented some problems for the Brothers, The Syracuse Cougars were able to strike first with a Matt Eccles clapper for a 1-0 Cougars lead, Adam Fontana struck back with a Power-Play goal for CBA to tie the game at one at the end of the 1st. The 2nd peroid saw CBA hit the post twice on breakaways and Syracuse score leading to a 2-1 deficit heading into the 3rd. Syracuse broke the game open taking a 4-1 lead with just over 9 minutes to play in the game, however CBA fought back and quickly. Jamie St. Amour scored and 15 seconds later Adam Fontana scored again cutting Syracuse's lead to 4-3. Late penalties for CBA allowed Syracuse a man advantage and CBA couldn't keep the puck long enough for the tying goal.

CBA went 1-1 on the weekend tournament, good enough for 2nd overall in the C-NS tournament. The Brothers play Auburn at home Wednesday in a non league game.
